This year has been dynamic for ClubsACT, with numerous projects coinciding with the ACT election environment. In partnership with the Canberra Institute of Technology, UnitingCare Kippax, and The Umbrella Collective, ClubsACT is offering short training courses to upskill workers in the licensed club industry. On 31 May, ClubsACT hosted a micro-conference highlighting the significant role of sports and community clubs in Canberra’s social cohesion and sporting culture.
The annual ClubsACT Industry Awards celebrate innovative projects, outstanding staff, and significant achievements within the community clubs sector. Furthermore, ClubsACT is supporting the “Compete for OUR HEART Challenge,” a fundraising initiative for the Canberra Hospital Foundation (CHF). This initiative reflects the community’s dedication to essential healthcare services and the professionals who provide critical care.
The comments also introduce Alisa Taylor, Partner at MV Law, and Amy Sydney, Special Counsel and Employment Law specialist, key leaders in MV’s Litigation and Employment Team.
